HEYDAY was founded in 2013 by three friends that care as much about food as you do. We thought people in Downtown San Francisco deserved options that were fresher, healthier and more delicious than the standard fast fare.
At HEYDAY, our mission is to make healthy and delicious food convenient, while supporting our community and respecting the earth.
MAKE YOUR DAY
We are dedicated to being the bright spot in your day. We love to nourish you, delight you, and bring a smile to your face. If anything falls short of that standard, we’ll make it right, right away.
We strive to make the right choice every time - not just when it’s convenient. When we say we use organic produce and sustainably raised meats, we do it 100% of the time, period.
BE THE CHANGE
While no one business can change the world by itself, we can lead - providing higher wages and benefits for our employees; sourcing more resilient, healthier foods; practicing better waste diversion; and minimizing our impact on the earth.
You deserve to know where your food comes from, understand how it was grown and raised, and even watch it be prepared. We think food should be honest...no gimmicks and no processed or artificial products. Love one of our seasonal salads and want to know what’s inside? Just ask!
People are the foundation of our business. We enable our team to be the best they can be, we engage with our vendors to source the best possible products, and we strive to energize our customers by serving delicious and healthy food conveniently!
“Heyday, which opened in early April, has since attracted 'the downtown commuter set that is looking for something that is healthier and fresher than what they can get somewhere else,'”
“In a sea of mediocrity, this is just about the best reliable lunch option we've come across in the area. At HEYDAY, nothing looks or tastes like it's been sitting on ice under a sneeze guard for 4 hours, and that alone goes a long way around here."
“...Heyday serves lunches for the rest of the human race: vegetable-centric enough to allow workers to forgo the three o’clock espresso, and appealing enough to merit the restaurant’s local-organic rhetoric.”
“The indecisive, the picky and the gluttonous can all make common cause at Heyday, a new spot in the Financial District where nearly everything is made from scratch daily.”
“From a dude who worked in the kitchen at Chez Panisse for three years, Heyday is a 22-seat SOMA sandwichery now open for breakfast [and] lunch…”
“...the focus is on fast-casual morning and afternoon options, with a focus on seasonal, organic soups, salads, and made-to-order sandwiches, all with the best local ingredients possible.”
